Mentoring Provision

Mentoring provision is structured, time-bound and aligned with identified needs. Support is designed around clear goals, agreed boundaries and a shared understanding of the young person’s profile and context. Provision is suitable for neurodivergent young people who benefit from predictable, regulated and well-scaffolded input.

Who Support Is For

EHCP-aligned provision
EBSA

Support that connects explicitly to Education, Health and Care Plan outcomes, with clear recording and review points.

Structured mentoring for young people experiencing Emotionally Based School Avoidance, with a focus on regulation, safety and graded re-engagement where appropriate.

ADHD / ASD profiles
Trauma-aware support needs

Support for children and young people with ADHD and/or Autistic profiles, with an emphasis on predictability, sensory awareness and practical strategies.

Mentoring that is informed by trauma-aware practice, clear boundaries and awareness of multi-agency support.

How Sessions Are Delivered

1:1 structured sessions with clear routines and agreed expectations.

Regulation-focused intervention blocks, typically delivered over a defined period.

Community integration where appropriate, with careful planning and risk awareness.

Clear goals, measurable aims and transparent review points.

Collaboration

Effective mentoring is collaborative. Provision is designed to sit alongside, not replace, existing education, health and care input. Communication is maintained, where appropriate, with:

Families and carers

Schools and education settings

SENCOs and pastoral teams

Local authorities and commissioning teams

Information sharing is always handled in line with agreed consent, safeguarding requirements and data protection expectations.

Geographic Coverage

SE_map_bucks_oxon.png

Mentoring provision is UK-based, with in-person sessions primarily available in Oxfordshire and surrounding counties. In some cases, remote sessions may be considered where this is appropriate, risk-assessed and aligned with identified needs. Any commissioning or referral discussions will clearly set out what is possible within the current geographic scope.
